Thinking about , what I really
need for my daily office work...
Not the very special takes, just the basics:
- Mail,
- Calendar,
- Task-Tickets,
- Social Company-Network,
- and Instant Messaging.
Most probably, 80% of the office workers have the same basic needs.
I use HCL Verse for e-mail and calendar.
For a better experience, I adapted the HCL Verse on Premises UI, to get a single-entry point for my basic requirements.
I also adapted colors and fonts for a consistent user interface. The default one is a mix of IBM bright blue and HCL dark blue.
- Customizing the navigation banner.
- Adding the company logo
- Customizing the user information.
- Using the Integration of HCL Connections and Sametime
What’s missing in Version 1.0.9
- Manage mail rules
- E-mail encrypting also outside of the local domain.
- Advanced search inside the mailbox
- Google calendar overlay.
- Option to sort mail by sender, subject, etc. as in HCL-Notes client.
...it seems that these missing points are going to be included in the next HCL Verse release.
